I have been recently involved in foodblogging, working with my gf's Marilisa Bombonato project, Cucina Consapevole. Instead of just showing the recipe ingredients, we decided to spend some times in the countryside, harvesting the vegetables by ourselves, and taking picture of the whole project. I would say we definitevely shoot "raw".
