MTN-Qhubeka personalised team photobook mementoes of the Vuelta Cycle Tour 2014
Brief: Create personalised photobooks for MTN (a popular mobile services provider in Africa) to give to their team members who participated in the Vuelta Cycle Tour in Spain.
Challenge: This client was quite indecisive and made a multitude of back-and-forth changes to the design before finally settling.
Outcome: I enjoyed playing with the contrasts of the yellow, red, teal, white and black corporate colours throughout the book. The colours popped well when placed against each other and conveyed a sense of energy which worked well with the sense of dynamism created by switching up the clean, grid-like style from page to page. No two pages are alike throughout this book, but yet the design is still cohesive. I especially enjoyed creating page 2-3 which is the page detailing all the riders in the team. I placed the images of the riders in ascending and descending bars so that together, they almost look like bicycle tire tracks.
