This is was a conceptual team project with fellow course mate, David Reilly.
The concept is derived from the fact that graduates have now reached a stage where they are confident with their work, their interpretations and creative solutions. As creative minds they have an innate need to “do” something. There is no definitive right or wrong answer to a piece of artwork or a design solution because it’s very much subjective to the artist’s or designer’s vision. There is just this need to create, be.cause. The concept and the word work by provoking a reaction and opening a dialogue rather than forcing a concrete definition. In this way it reflects the endless possibilities of creativity and where you can go with it. be.cause - is ambiguous enough to catch peoples attention and encourage curiosity. It question’s the justification of it and is open to interpretation.
Why the dot?
- It reinforces the word. The dot defines it’s two syllables and gives the word an attitude that is bold, yet evokes a sense of a personality in itself.

A character which is bold and doesn’t follow the norm. It bends limitations and goes against the grain which is what creative students should do.
Well, be.cause.
