Rise High XQ Super School 2016

Rise High XQ Super School | Gensler LA Team

Groundbreaking ideas to rethink high school. This premise sparked the imagination of young Gensler LA designers to make a difference. Their collaboration efforts with RISE High has helped this charter school for homeless and foster youth win the XQ Super School Project $10 million grant. This $100 million competition aims to fund 10 different start-up schools across America that proposed the most forward thinking school programs for a new way of learning.

The Gensler team created a design that incorporates a comprehensive branding toolkit. This toolkit brought an urban modern identity to the various RISE school campus sites and sizes which are dispersed around Los Angeles. The result of the work that the Gensler team created is a set of consistent and cohesive communication tools that not only brings awareness of the RISE School to students who are displaced from the LA Unified School system, but it also allows the students and staff to always have a place that feels safe, fun and familiar; RISE is the modern educational home.
