This is a sample of some projects I was able to salvage from a typography class I took in the midst of a storage disaster. The first few pieces are a series of wordplay, pretty simplistic. But they were a fun way to dip my toe in the water and get a feel for this. After that is my take on a Monstar from Space Jam, I have a few other renditions of that project that I'd like to show eventually, but didn't survive the storage mishap mentioned above. So hopefully I'll be able to put those back together and post them here soon.

The last project is part of  a presentation I did on typographer Jonathan Hill. This assignment was to pick a typographer of our choice and make an 11 x 17 poster in a style influenced by their work. Along with that we had to put together a presentation about the typographer that we selected. Included below is my poster, and the handout that I gave to every one in our class that accompanied my presentation.
Informational poster about Jonathan Hill. Done using all tyefaces created by Hill
Insert of the handout accompanying my presentation on Hill. Hill was heavily involved in the music industry before he started his type foundry, so my handout was a CD for each student. The insert in the CD was liner notes, instead of track by track information, my info inside the handout was synced up with the presentation I gave.

For these I used some of Hills work that he did as an interior and spatial designer (the guy is a renaissance man) and made it into an album cover. The type used are fonts that Hill designed himself, and the track listing on the back of the album is synced up with the liner notes and the rest of the presentation.

I wanted to show off another part of his work in my presentation, but since it wasn't the primary focus I wanted to work it in subtly.
