All the Pretty Colors

Graphic Design Principals assignment on color. The star is done in a cool color scheme. I choose this group of colors because I liked how well they harmonized with one another. This design was the most complex one to do because of the outer circles being divided into sections that had to line up with the points on the star.
Design was done in a black monochromatic color scheme
Same design but done in purple monochromatic color scheme. I wanted to show how the design compared being done in two different monochromatic color schemes.
This design is done in triadic harmony color scheme. I really liked the brightness and pop of this color combination. I used lines and then the width tool to create the shapes in the design.
This design is done in an analogous color scheme. I love red and purple and choose this color scheme for that very reason. Then when the design was done it felt very 1970's era.
This design is done in a warm color scheme. I was drawn to this color scheme because it was warm, yet had some really good contrast between light and dark colors.
INSPIRATION
This is one design I found while looking for design inspiration for this assignment. I really liked it because one of the shapes was larger than all the rest and it was off set.
This is another design I found while looking for inspiration for this assignment. I liked the uniformity of it, yet it had some contrast in the shapes and sizes.
Star design in progress.
Star in progress with lines from the stars points to the edge of the circle being off. Along with some points that were in the lower first mint section having some black anchor points showing up. There was a lot of fine tuning and tweaking done to get the lines as perfect as possible from the points on the star to the circles edges.
