XWiki.org Realign | 2016
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Elements realigning is a good strategy to get a style update when redesigning a complex website such as XWiki.org. Since the website is an umbrella for many subdomains, they are individualised by using different color themes. Other key pages (like the Download section) were redone from scratch, focusing on simplifying and clarifying the process. XWiki is an extensible open source platform for developing collaborative applications on top of the wiki paradigm.

MY ROLE
I've designed, prototyped and implemented the key pages from the website in order to improve the first experiences with the product. This consisted in redesigning the homepage and presenting testimonials, statistics and clients that use XWiki. I've communicated with the Marketing and Clients team in order to highlight the best examples of product usage. The Product team contributed with project statistics and release news.

I've redesigned and simplified also the Download and Try pages, detailing the packages types, installation methods and usage flow.

I prefer to interact and create the design in the environment it will live in, so I usually code my proposals directly in HTML+CSS.
These design proposals are discussed inside the XWiki Community, which is an Open Source community around the XWiki platform.
