Autism in the Classroom: A Preschool Teacher's Guide

Autism in the Classroom was researched and designed as a project while I attended Washington University in St. Louis. Through my research, I discovered a lack of accessible books for teachers, on educating students with Austism in classrooms that contained both students with and without Autism.

I set out to create a workbook for teachers that was easy to read and cleanly designed, to not only present them with a basic understanding of Autism, but also more importantly to provide them with excercises to use in their classrooms.

As a way to better understand the behavior of preschool aged children, I attended a local classroom in St. Louis, to both observe the student's behavior, as well as to interview teachers on the subject. Additionally, while there I was able to document the class through photos, which are featured in the book.
