Bilbao BBK Live

A few years ago, Last Tour International, the company behind the music festival Bilbao BBK Live, invited a bunch of local and international illustrators to revisit all the posters from its past editions.
With a 100% freedom, the aim of the project was to allow illustrators to work on their personal take. The posters would be later silkscreened in limited edition copies and exhibited inside the venue.
We were lucky to be invited to be part of the project by redesigning the poster of their 3rd edition back in 2008.
R.E.M was one of the highlights that year (and a clear favourite in the studio) so we decided to turn the idea of the rapid eye movement or REM, into some weird looking teen-wolf-moon-phased eyes that we don’t fully understand yet. :)
