Pukas Basati Quiver
Surfer Kepa Acero is very well known for his trips around the world. Solo mode, full of joy and empty pockets, he is only allowed to travel with stuff he can put on backpacks and light board covers. But when it comes to a trip that can put you to test on conditions that vary from 1ft. to dreading waves, you can’t afford to take with you a quiver with the wrong board shapes.

After lots of testing, talking and tripping, Kepa Acero and Axel Lorentz designed the perfect set of boards for Kepa to take on his trips: two Pukas Original Sixtyniners and a Pukas BabySwallow.

Once the 3 boards were ready, it was time for us to work on the art. We thought of them as a whole, as a family.

Given that Kepa is a lone traveller, we decided that it was best for him not to get lost. That’s why we decided to work on the idea of Polaris, the North Star, as his guide.
This way, his eyes would never lose the north.

Words of wisdom written on the back of the boards

“A traveller should never carry more than what he can bear with his own hands.”
“Un viajero no debe llevar encima más peso del que pueda arrastrar
con sus propias manos.”

- Kepa Acero

How to find the north using the stars as a guide:

First, locate the North Star, Polaris.
Polaris is the shinniest star in the Ursa Minor constellation.
Then, draw an imaginary straight line directly from Polaris to the ground.

There you go.
