Multimedia Nusantara University is located in Scientia Garden, Serpong, Indonesia and has 3 separated buildings each built with unique architecture and lots of facilities on almost 20 acres land. The university often holds public events and invites many people. Unfortunately many visitors often get lost inside and can't find direction to places because there hasn't been any wayfinding or signage installed.
On sign system design class in 2014, our group did some research to design a sign system that fits with the architecture and UMN brand-image. We learned that the three buildings have something in common which is white rounded columns located in quite strategic spots for new visitors. By maximizing the use of column rather than making free-standing signage the sign system will blend with the current environment perfectly.
