Inspired by light and the modern electronic books, this project takes a fresh look at combining Le Corbusier's Ronchamp with technology. The contemporary bookstore displays books like a gallery and has its functional inspiration in minimalism. There are no visible light fixtures and the ceiling is a translucent material with the lights hidden behind it giving the store an ethereal appearance. The bookstore has evolved with time and the suspended glass cubes of the window display take on a futuristic look. The design is an attempt to create a bridge across time, the perennial joy of holding a book and the convenience of modern technology.
