Introduction:
PeTalk is an iPhone application which supplies a direct and helpful way for people to express emotions. Sponsored by Tencent, this project explores possible ways to expand people's vision on emotion. PeTalk helps to provide a virtual smart pet on mobile device, record and share your voices as emotion history. The social network is effectiveness and privacy focused, and helps people to connect directly and simply.
Target User:
Young people, especially people who are new to work.

1. Emotion is really related to the work issue.
2. Online friends maybe a better choice for release emotion directly.
3. People usually express their emotion for sharing, releasing and asking for help.
4. Recently, pets become good helper for people to release their emotion.

Our target users want a platform which can effectively release their negative emotion and share joyful things with other, and at the same time, there is little risk of privacy exposure. And the mediums and forms should be feasible to solve users’ real needs. And we will bear those design principles to propose our design.

Interaction Model:
Interaction model is the represent of corroboration of different feature. From it, we can overview the general features and interaction mechanical.
From the above figure we can see that there are two general hierarches (the interaction between people and people; the interaction with others through the pet as the medium) and four characterized features (Diary-Playback, Similar-Emotion-Seeking, Pet-Decoration-Center, and Anti-Social-Network) in the interaction model.

1. Diary-Playback
When users press the Audio-Recording button, it will record users’ voice and automatically save it and users can select an icon to represent their current emotion state. And users can also review the emotion-timeline to learn their emotion’s ups and downs in recent days. Surly, users can jump to every piece of recordings and replay it again.

2. Similar-Emotion-Seeking
This is our most characterized feature. When users have finished a recording and selected an emotional icon, the system will automatically figure out the instant total number of people in the same city and with the same emotion. And users can press the “Share” button to share their own recordings with others. Also, the system will recommend other users who are with the same emotion and willing to share with other to the users, and users can “share” other people’s recordings. What is noticeable is that, the voice will be processed into electronica sound for the concern of privacy.

3. Pet-Decoration-Center
These are some features about business opportunities. Users can decorate their pets with different color dresses and some accessories. Also, users can buy some sets as the gifts for their friends.

4. Anti-Social-Network
Anti-Social-Network means that users will share their recordings only with some unfamiliar people, and the messages will not be sent to his personal social circles, even the weak-tie relationship, such as their friends’ friends. So in this way, the receivers will be purely strangers. What’s more, we intend to struggle to make sure that the shared recordings can be sent to the right person and get a feedback. So, according to one’s occupy, gender, education background and so on to well match the “right person”.
