We worked closely together with dutch construction company Heijmans to create this infographic on the company's building process. It was important for them to be able to quickly and clearly show clients and partners all the elements involved in a project, ranging from hardware (like computers, phone networks, clouds and dedicated servers), to software applications, the workforces in their different departments, to the final products which can vary from homes to infrastructure and utilities.

The original brief asked for a solution to have the 4 different sections stack on top of each other like floor parts, thus creating a sort of building. But since the piece will mostly be used on landscape format presentations, we decided to pull the floors apart and make them work more like stairs. Each floor was then designed to act as a base 'holder' for its elements and to give the sections their own personality.

Agency: ShopAround
IT: A circuit board floor dotted with hardware solutions. Heijmans is also very proud of their cloud computing so we placed that in the center of the board.
Software/Applications: A graphic line grid was chosen to depict the more abstract layer of applications that Heijmans uses in their design, management and execution processes. They are built upon the foundation of the previous floor and will be seen again in the next.
Process: Many different departments work together and make up the company, ranging from design to management and even maintenance services.
Product: the final layer shows a much more extended floor; a landscape shaped by Heijmans' products.
