Editorial for VBI's annual magazine in which they wanted to showcase how their products will influence the construction of buildings in the next few decades. VBI creates sustainable solutions in construction, which allows them to create very lightweight, low-cost but strong concrete that can span wide surfaces with fewer support columns, thus allowing more flexibility in a building's plan during its lifetime.
For this illustration we wanted to visualize this dynamic modularity with floating platforms that switch between different kinds of users: a building can start out out housing an office, but then be turned into appartments, then into schools, etc. The modular theme is accentuated with a blue grid that is a nod to VBI's visual identity.
