s.Oliver – brand site relaunch

After my team won the pitch for the new client s.Oliver, plan.net was responsible for the development and maintenance of a whole new concept for the European fashion brand‘s website. Our new concept – an online fashion magazine – was based on the positioning »a brand amongst friends« and aimed at a rejuvenation of the brand‘s image as well as increasing the involvement of the target group.
In this project, I was mainly responsible for art direction and UI design, but I also contributed greatly to the conceptual and UX development of the website (e.g. the development of flexible article modules for the CMS and adaptive behaviour). Moreover, I lead many client presentations including the initial pitch on the design component and coached a new internal website team for the ongoing maintenance of the magazine.

The magazine was designed as a adaptive one pager with filter options for the different product divisions (e.g. Casual, Business, Kids). Most articles wove a lifestyle related story of the products and were linked to social media channels. Additional fashion content, image galleries and videos were often a feature. Other articles contained company related news, interviews with s.Oliver fashion designers and more general lifestyle topics. Each time a product was featured in an article it linked directly to the s.Oliver ecommerce site for instant purchase (the eshop was a separate site at the time).
