Schöffel – brand site & eshop relaunch

Following a successful pitch for the new client Schöffel (German outdoor clothing brand), my team at plan.net created a new approach for an extensive relaunch of the website and eshop. Based on the positioning of the brand »Ich bin raus« (English: »I‘m outta here«) the concept aimed to provide Schöffel customers both with inspiring outdoor topics and the quickest way to find exactly what they need to get them out there as soon as possible.
Our new concept provided an engaging user experience with many ways of navigating the site, while each article eventually linked to the eshop. Besides using classic navigation techniques via the menu or entering the site via the three main content areas (inspiration, eshop and service), the user could also navigate via the product finder below the menu. The product finder was created as a very efficient tool based on the most important filters from the eshop and was accessible from every single page of the site.
I was responsible for the art direction and execution of the whole design process. After the successful pitch with a rough concept we went through an extensive market research phase including user testing with a basic prototype to finetune the user experience. As well as developing all designs and templates, I contributed significantly to wireframing, UX and final technical concept (esp. regarding adaptive behaviour and the entire mobile concept).
