Domestika is an online Creative Platform for the Spanish Speaking creative community. They invited me to hold an online photography course showing my creative process using High Speed photography techniques to compose a graphic and colorfull visual through liquid splashes.
The initial part is an introduction on my influences and my working process. We then continue step by step to prepare, execute and then retouch two different options using first sunlight and then strobes.
In the first part I explain how to capture and freeze liquids with daylight and more specifically with direct sun. This is a way to be able to use this technique without having any specific lighting gear.
The image below is the final visual and the following unretouched resources were used to compose it. Post production wise, it was shot so the composing and integration were a very straight forward process through a layered file and the use of masks.
The second image is a graphic and pastel colored composition using flashlights to capture the liquids in motion. In this part I explain what is needed from a stobe to be able to completely freeze the movement and go through the whole process: from composition to postproduction.
