This design was inspired by the shape experiment of X letter. The X letter creates an intersection, which creates the structure because of its stability of the intersecting form.
The intersecting form creates the new system of structure, which is the penetrating idea of the wood can creates a form of structure. It is a simple structure that can hold you up to sit and relax comfortably. The attractive looks of the chair creates an emphasis to the room environment and adapt into different interiors easily.
This wooden lounge chair is using recyclable material and natural resources as possible. The material is laminated reused Nyatoh wood / Palaqium gutta Baill, which is a local tropical wood from Indonesia and it is a class 3 wood which is usually used for structure. Nowadays, Nyatoh wood is so much cultivated in Indonesia. The assembly of this chair is very simple, which just penetrate the first wood into the second wood, and install the 2 pcs of stopper, also made by Nyatoh wood, with dowel joint to help maintaining the structure form. It also has several small teflon at the hole of the penetration, so that the first wood will not scratched when doing the penetration.
