This small, upscale eyewear retailer had a small budget and hence ran fractional newsprint ads in local newspapers and circulars. We were instantly aware that trying to showcase the fine detail of high-browed brand names in small newsprint ads would not serve our client any justice. Not to mention the fact that most of the client's product was widely available around town. So, instead of showcasing overexposed product, we opted to create cheeky messaging that catered to the trendy attitudes of the beach town where the store was located. Eyewear fashions were still featured in order to communicate the client's category at a glance, and to define the store's style of inventory.
