ASHIGARU chair
Designer: Dmitry Koloskov
Project Year: 2011
Location: Russia
Material: plywood

Behind today's trends in design and art is the East with its amazing aesthetics. On our menu today is Ashigaru, a “dish” that has its own character and inner content. Ashigaru (Jap. "light-footed", that is, "not covered by armor") - simple light infantry of the Japanese armies of the late Middle Ages. This chair is also light, straightforward, structured, with an inner furious stuffing. It may taste like wood, metal or plastic, but the first test model was created from 5mm thick cardboard, it passed all the tests for strength and aesthetics.

Thank you!
