Light and materials are connected and largely determine each other; neither of them is visible to the human eye until they come together. For this reason, you need to be guided by light when choosing materials and use it to highlight contrasts between different textures. Determination of surface texture comes from grazing light.
The shine of glass and metal, the depth of dark oil-soaked wood and the shadows on white walls all carry emotion.
