Rabbit Loafers – online shop

Follow the White Rabbit into the Wonderful World of Loafers
Client: Rabbit Loafers. Russia, Italy

The philosophy of this company is passionate love for loafers. That’s why you will not find anything else in their shoes collections. Loafers, and only loafers, times and times again!

All the noble-looking finishing materials come from Italy. The owners – and ideologists – of the shoes workshop in northern Italy, the Casarotti brothers, make sure that all the manufacturing procedures required to produce the RABBIT LOAFERS are strictly followed. It’s from here, from the Italian factory, that the loafers travel around the world in beautiful, stylish boxes to meet their owners.

How exactly should the online store be structured? Which style should we choose? How exactly can we emphasize its unique nature? What should be the key: a usable interface design or attractive visuals? What’s the target audience? Who wears loafers?

These questions can be answered thanks to analytics, research, and prototype design. This huge part of the iceberg remains invisible to the visitors.

The website should be stylish, modern, simple, convenient, fast, and elegant. We know the goals, we know the limits, and now let’s follow the white rabbit.

“The regularity of the form is not important!”

Special attention should be paid to the system of visual decorations of this project. To achieve that, we analyzed the modern web design trends. The principle of even information arrangement, the first screen, the three clicks, the symmetrical blocks? Let’s say goodbye to these superstitions, as well as to those who spread them.

Let’s follow our heart, keeping the reality in mind. Dissymmetry is crucial for the success of this project. Let’s throw away everything that’s unnecessary, all the bells and whistles. Instead, let us focus on space and emptiness. And then we’ll tune it up till it’s perfect.

“If it were like that, it would be ok. But in fact it isn’t like that, that’s why it is like this. This is the logic.”

We should think about the visitors!

A conveniently designed cart, good catalog, prices in big letters, and of course, good fonts.
All of these are really important!

“This is more important than that… that is more important than this… What’s the difference?”

Oh, it’s also adaptive, right?

“— That’s impossible...
— That’s possible for those who believe.”

“Sooner or later everything fits into place, and forms a single neatly tied system. It becomes clear, why everything was important, because the result is great.”

With references to Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.”
