Lismore Heritage Town Identity

Primary logotype
I worked on this brief in my third year at IADT (2013). It was a live project which was very exciting as it gave a taster of what it's like designing in the real world.

The small town of Lismore, Co. Waterford wanted a brand for themselves to attract more tourists. I wanted to focus on what they have to offer as their core identity. I came up with the idea of "Action & Experience" sub-headings to correspont with the asterix at the end of the logo. This gave me inspirtaion for a complimentary digital application. Using the asterix as a point of interest on the town I designed an augmented reality smart phone app. The idea is that the app uses GPS settings to locate where you are in Lismore and an asterix appears when you're near a point of interest, giving information about it on the app.

My work was short-listed into the final 20 of the competition and was exhibited in Lismore's town hall.
