Passport Monthly Email - A Completed Work

AN OVERVIEW

During my time at Briercrest College and Seminary, a post-secondary institution that has been in operation since the early 20s, I was asked to develop this alumni e-newsletter. With many alumni asking "how can we be involved?" and "what is going on at Briercrest lately?" a newsletter such as Passport Monthly was desperately needed. While Briercrest was producing a seasonal magazine, the formality of the magazine, infrequency of delivery, and cost of production wasn't the right combination in order to be effective. Not to mention, since graduates of the school and alumni were younger and more tech-savvy than graduates in previous years, it was important to create a product that would be effective for this group as well. I was responsible for the early development stages of this newsletter, creating a strategy, implementing that strategy, and documenting my process so that designers following me could continue this important piece on a monthly basis.

MY ROLE

This project was completed in early 2015 during my time at Briercrest.

For this project, I was responsible for:
-research and concept development (alongside executive board members)
-incorporating the company branding (working with the Creative Director)
-the user experience and interface design

-accessing a database and creating a "safe to email" list (over 4000 emails)
-the development (using MailChimp)
