Buy Nothing Day Advertising Concept

My Final Minor Project solution was developed from investigations into street based art and design, focussing on the utilisation of empty high street commercial sites. With a view to use these sites as grounds for statements about consumer behaviour and society in a time of austerity, the Buy Nothing Day movement became an important figure in defining my message and ultimately, became the sole beneficiary of the content.
As part of a Street Advertising kit, material was devised to be distributed in a consumer central environment such as the high street or shopping mall. This kit included posters, leaflets, colour coded balloons, hand screenprinted paper bags and introductory booklet to the event.
