This project was all about Having your say about an issue happening in society today that was important to us. Once we had our topic we then had to pick two ways of communicating this issue in an outcome. I chose to make a leaflet and then some promtional pieces; badges and a tote bag.

My theme was about body image and how teenage girls are being given thi false sense of a 'perfect body' from celebrites in magazines. I knew a lot about this subject as i too was a victim of this myself back in school.

 

 

The aim of this project is to create awareness of the issue and with leaflets and promtional merchandise being easily transportable, it will be easy to give these out in schools to make teens aware of the dangers and health issues that this can cause.

I made my leaflet quite simple and easy to read, but als colourful and bright so that it wasnt boring to look at. I also included some useful facts and information which will hopefully take it one step further to helping teens stop thinking that they need to take such drastic action to look like the people in magazines, as most of the time these people are made to look this way using computer software.
