These are simply snapshots of the Distillery District in Toronto (a popular artisan district) in Fall 2008 and converted to black and white with no crops or other editing. A friend and I went out on a cold night and his photographs were all cheerful and mine stark and sad as I was having a really difficult year and actually taking anti-depressants (Cipralex) when I took these pictures so it seems they may not have been working as prescribed.
Exhibited textile fine art in 2003 at *NEW* Gallery for scholarship and award winners in the Distillery District, and also Blue Dot Gallery in the Distillery for a group show "Long Distance: The Space in Between Communication" with 20 other artists May 24-31 2004. My friend and I thought this might be a good place to find inspiration because so many other fabulous artists are residents here with their own studios.
