'Home-made, low-cost, high quality' dissertation

This project studies the relationship between self-promotional and low-cost graphic design projects, reviewing case studies where both meet and laying out the potential in this combination for graduate designers to achieve visibility. It also considers the additional value of the hand-made in the current technology-driven context.

In accordance with the object of the research, the printed book was 'home-made' in its entirety. Part of it considers the potential of one colour printing on various types of paper in order to maximise limited resources. Remains of cardboard stock were used for the covers, which were assembled onto the Japanese-bound pages by hand.
