Recetas de la Abuela is a family cook book containing the recipes my grandmother has developed for years and that have become part of our family heritage. The visual style is simple and contemporary, yet detailed and elaborated. This deliberate balance highlights the relationship between the older and younger family generations. The predominant use of handmade illustration over photography emphasises the craft behind the recipes, as well as their emotional value.
