Sustainable floating house on the river Maas
The floating eco-home in Maastricht, ARK, is the first of it's kind in the region Limburg, in the Netherlands. The city of Maastricht will grant the permit to harbour the construction from April the 1st 2012 for a period of seven months, on to the Maaspromenade next to the Servaasbrug. The city council aims to promote and implement sustainable measures for the rest of the buildings in Maastricht.
The designer and owner of the floating house, Aut-Ark, will lend the construction for promotion purposes free of charges. IKEA collaborates for the interior furniture. The following image is a photomontage I prepared for Aut-Ark (P.Kromwijk) for the coming presentation of the Floating house.
