This project is one of practical renovation, design and environmental development.
The building is a Trulo - a traditional 150 year old heavy stone house in the middle of a 12,000 square meter lot.
The trulo is located in South-East Italy, in Puglia region, off road on the way from Ostuni to Cheglia.
The exterior of the house was renovated according to local standarts, as to resemble the trulo's original appearance. for that purpose extensive work was done with a several local contractors including an engeneer, a metal artist, an electisian and a carpenter.
The enterior of the trulo was designed to allow for comfortable short and long term vacations, and the trulo's wine room was turned to an additional bed room.
After initial maitenance work on the garden, a pool and an outside jacuzzi were planned and built.
Future developments will include a veranda, amodern interpratation of an Italian outdoor kitchen, as well as an additional 2 bedroom new unit.
The overall plan will result in a complex that can inhabit up to 10 vacators at once, while enjoying a modern swimming pool, a jacoozy and a fully functional Kitchen, BBQ and a traditional Pizza oven.
