Mark Glueck, an economist working in Washington D.C, was in need of a logo for the new consulting business he was launching. He needed a simple, striking branding that would instill confidence and professionalism in his clients, but still wanted to stand out amongst other firms in the industry.
Taking inspiration from the curves and graphs commonly used in economics, the logo's "swoop" moves up and to the right, which in economics usually indicates a positive projection. The combination of a bright green with a calming navy not only provides a striking contrast, but allows MGC to really stand apart from the darker colors that many of his competitors have in their branding.
