Brief: You are to record an event in a comprehensive and exhaustive way, to which you are then required to edit the material you have produced. The edited material will then form the basis of a magazine. You should record data and consider producing a written narrative, as both will be required as content for the magazine.
My chosen ‘event’ was the football game between Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday, a match I felt would be paramount in the 6 game promotion push remaining during the 2014/15 Championship Season. After collating data both primarily and secondarily (photography, text, illustration, speech, web, interviews etc.) I edited my material and realised the quality of the aspect of ‘promotion’ and the striking atmosphere it created consistently in my content. This formed the basis of my Magazine, Touching Distance.
Print: 120gsm satin paper and drafting film. Saddle-stitched.
