Color of Words

Some say that 'words' are the most important elements in design. Of course, words carry meanings and possess some kind of aesthetic on their own as well. Some words though are powerful in their existence and evoke emotion and colors when we think, dream or see them. We gave these words an expression of color that was personal to us. We all have different relationships with these words and the color evoked in each one of us is not only personal but a culmination of memories, experiences and emotions.

An example is the word love, a little girl might not understand why you'd add black. Her perception of love would be probably all pink and some hints of red and her perception would still be true. However, as she grows up, she learns more about love, and its different expressions and she gains a new understanding, hence a new perception. What colors do certain words evoke in you? What is your artistic expression of the word? Share them with us via hello@thesilot and we'll add them to our gallery.
