Provost Studio's profile

Tenley-Friendship Public Library

The main circulation desk fuses desk and wall in one continuous formal gesture. It is intended to be circulation desk and dividing wall between two distinct areas within the library. The wall is double-sided and features a seated worksurface for multiple visitors and undercounter storage for both areas. The circulation desk component is punctuated by cove accent lighting along the floor edge and integrated task lighting. The
overall formal language of the piece is simple, clean and sophisticated in its handling of material transitions and dividing space.
