Doppelgänger is a stealth-puzzle game that features a time manipulation ability.
Below is a big picture view of one of the levels. It shows the overall aesthetic and level of puzzle complexity. Completing this level requires certain sequential steps of pushing buttons and time manipulation in order to get pass the three doors and into the black box elevator.
To provide the player guidance, there were several conscious design decisions made:
-Red lit areas are dangerous; guard paths traverse those areas.
-Blue lit areas are safe (initially).
-White wall buttons open/close red doors.
-Green floor pressure buttons open/close blue-green doors.
-Wall buttons are always the same color and illuminated.
For this project I designed several levels/puzzles, lit all the levels, standardized, animated, and created assets (characters, pearly long chair and table set, pulsing doors, explosion).
