Drum and bass is a type of electronic music, which emerged in the late 1980s, characterized by fast breakbeats with heavy bass and sub-bass lines. This definition of the music genre was the starting point and the concept used for this piece. The lines used in the design represent the beats and the bass in a music gender best described by its power (as its name states “Forca” which means power in Portuguese). Consequently, drum and bass parties are often advertised as featuring uncommonly loud and bass-heavy sound systems.
Drum and bass began in the United Kingdom rave scene of the very early 1990s. Today DJ’s combine it with electronic, acoustic instruments and elements from various musical genres, so we can say Drum & Bass represents “the power of a good mix”...
