I created this logo for the Residential Circle of Excellence - a black-tie optional gala held for REALTORS® that are members of Central Carolina REALTORS® Association. This year was the 40th anniversary of the event and the committee wanted to incorporate rubies into the design.

The original design (seen at the top) was designed with a calligraphic "E" to represent Excellence and Elegance, however, the committee wanted to incorporate the REALTOR® R that is a symbol of their profession. The final design is seen on the bottom.

I was able to create these logos for a client that I met when I was beginning my journey at CCRA. His companies are called FuTures Real Estate and FuTures Consulting. The empahsis on the F and T stands for Faith and Trust in relying on an agent and a company that will go the extra mile for their client.

I enjoyed making the top logo because I was able to use the pen tool to emphasize details on the roof outline. I'm still rusty using the pen tool, but I am more comfortable in my attempts to use it in a design.

In both designs, I tried to incorporate subtle nuances - the trailing end of the roof in the top logo and the right facing arrow in the bottom logo - to indicate the forward moving, progressive ideal of my client's businesses.

If you're ever in the market to buy a home, keep FuTures Real Estate in mind! For more information on FuTures Real Estate, please email E. Jermaine Sims at jermainesims@kw.com.
This design was created for a client that started a small business for a niche clientele. She is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho and creates hand-wrapped canes and staffs for members of fraternities and sororities. She has an affinity for previous eras and decided to call her business RetRHO Kanes.

I chose to use some design elements that related to her sorority and incorporate an 80's and 90's type of theme with the title. Her sorority colors are Royal Blue and Gold; and the red and white dots represent pearls and rubies - a symbol that is often seen as a tribute associated with the organization.
I designed this logo for a client  that was re-launching and rebranding his clothing store. He was looking for something that would make his clientele feel as though they were buying premium products at an affordable price. His goal was to make them look as rich as they felt.

For this logo, I tried to choose regal colors without using purple. I felt as though navy blue and gold were the perfect combination.
This logo was designed as a draft for the Bleu Olive Bistro in Charlotte, NC. I completed this project while I was an intern for Charlotte Seen.

The client was requesting an updated version of their current logo and asked me to come up with a sample design using these colors and specifically requested that the "O" in Olive actually look similar to an olive.
