A-to-Zoo is designed to help children aged 16 months to 4 years acquire vocabulary in different languages (i.e. English, French and Spanish). Placed on a board or on a refrigerator door, this product allows the user to learn the names and pronunciation of letters and numbers. To encourage its use, the product emits a sound after 30 seconds from its last action in order to draw the child’s attention.
By inserting a letter or a number at the base, the child discovers the name and the sound associated with it. Pressing the animals’ faces allows the user to discover their sounds. The numbers and letters are magnetic which allows the child to create words on a ferrous surface. By playing with A-to-Zoo, children have fun and learn at the same time!
This project received the ADIQ Honorable mention award from the Association de Designers Industriels du Quebec -- a prize for distinctive accomplishment in industrial design.
