To celebrate Waitangi Day and all things New Zealand, The New Zealand Herald's marketing team proposed to run a photo competition on nzherald.co.nz. This tied into the Herald’s long history of celebrating the past, while moving forward with the new, by executing this modern digital promotion.
 
The brief was to encourage consumers to upload their unique images of NZ via Instagram, Twitter or the promotion page using the hashtag #SnapNZ. Visually it was requested the site has a 'Kiwiana’, New Zealand, Summer, Heritage feel.
