Save the Date, Invitation, CD
For our destination wedding, we wanted to create a memorable wedding suite using letterpress that would serve as an accurate reflection of our story, the ceremony location and autumnal theme. The invitation would also work alongside our wedding website (www.kylieanddrew.com) where guests were encouraged to RSVP.

Both ceremony and reception took place at a rustic vineyard with slate chapel and outdoor gardens. The venue and time of year the wedding was to take place determined our colour scheme for our stationery and bridal party. Burgundy roses and plum coloured leaves stood out against burnt umber, yellows and grey slate buildings.

For the design concept I wanted to focus on the use of patterns reminiscent of art nouveau and the arts & craft movement. Blossoming flowers demonstrate the growth of our relationship as well as the venues grape vines. My Mum had saved her wedding dress for her daughters and although my sister and I decided against wearing it, we did agree on using the lace to make a veil which would be handed down through the family. Patterns from the lace were also incorporated throughout the wedding suite.

When it came to typography I utilised Jessica's Hische's elegant font Brioche, as it worked so well alongside the dynamic patterns and iconography. Our logotype was developed from her typeface adding customised swishes and embellishment where needed.

On the big day, our guest tables were named after concerts we had attended. Each of our guests were allocated a song from the band at the table they were seated and received a keepsake CD.  This made a great conversation piece for our guests that was visually captivating and entertaining.
