McDonald's - Various Digital Executions

It's easy to say "I want to do more digital work". It's quite another to come up with decent ones, sell it through and execute it.

As the senior team on the brand, we always try to push for better work, digital or not. With a client like McDonald's, the opportunity is huge, but the process is a big learning curve too. It takes time, patience and a fair degree of client hand-holding to convince them to spend extra money on a medium they don't always budget for.

We try our best though and here are a few digital executions that we hope will lead to bigger, more interesting work.

Facebook Timeline Tribute

When we heard that the iconic East Coast Park restaurant was closing, we seized the opportunity to present a few digital ideas. Unfortunately, due to budget constraints, nothing got sold.

The game got us 16,000 new Facebook page fans in just 10 days. At its peak, 3,000 people played it a day and over 700,000 items were "caught" in the game.

The video below shows how the game worked. I had a lot of fun playing it all day in the name of "work".
