Tim first went to bed with advertising as a part-time copywriter in a tiny agency above a car workshop. As with all first time nookies, it was awkward.

By some stroke of luck, he found his way to McCann Erickson Malaysia to work under Szu and Hwa, who taught him all the right moves on accounts like Proton, Coca-Cola, DiGi, Nespray and more.

After 5 years, he made a short leap of faith across the causeway to DDB Singapore to work on McDonald's. After gaining too much weight for 2 years, he decided to go rogue on big agency networks and joined Iris Singapore, simply because they have too many alcohol brands.

These days, he's a firm believer in content and dreams of working for Vice someday. But for now, advertising is still a good lay. Read Less
