Young Musicians on Film

My friend Brady works for one of the coolest non-profits in Seattle, Experience Music Project. While it's no cake-walk to work for, Brady is pretty fantastic at her job, and that includes making portraits of all the young musicians taking part in the finals for SoundOff!, a 21-and-under music competition. It's an incredible opportunity for them, and at least one band every year goes on to do really well out in the world. It's not always the winner (actually it usually isn't). You can check out her superb portraits here (scroll down the page a bit) : http://www.empmuseum.org/programs-plus-education/programs/sound-off!.aspx  and while you're at it check out the musicians too.

I tagged along this year and brought my Polaroid. While i'm not super happy with the adjustments made to the camera a bit ago (light leaks, ARG!) I really loved throwing caution to the wind and going through a whole pack of photos. I need to be more fearless... baby steps.
