Typographic reaction to a contemporary phenomenon through a series of Posters | Part 3
Type Scupltures inspired from the work of Absalon. Using the “Absalon Type” I further explored along the lines of his ideologies by creating what I called ‘Type Sculptures’ with the alphabets. What followed was a series of interesting explorations, which enabled a conceptual dialogue with the artist and his work. As a part of one of the explorations, I also flattened the sculptures by making them into simple graphical black and white forms.
The sculptures explored the idea of the relationship between:
- Form & function
- Physical & Conceptual
- Second and Third dimension
- Physical & Conceptual
- Second and Third dimension
