Design conceptual books from scratch while learning the basics of book binding and working with big volumes of paper.

Book #1: An experimental book about Afghanistan. It opposes the negative connotations of mainstream media by symbolizing artifacts as the positive attributes of the country. Placed inside a decorated box which contains a famous poem about peace and individual cards which highlights elements of the Afghani culture.
Book #2: Idiomatic Expressions. A book of idioms with a binding structure that accomodates a Turkish Map Fold. Its organized alphabetically and contains an idiom or saying that starts with each letter in the alphabet.
Book #3: Live Your Dream. A layered collaging technique combined with an accordion fold, telling a story of a dream that happening in different dimensions with parallel storylines.
Book #4: Collect Memories. An experiment on deconstructing a book to its individual components. Learning new binding techniques by constructed a polished box that forms as the cover. And individual postcards as pages. Each postcards tells a short visual story from a different author, combined they create a sensory exploration through different styles.
