Flexibowl is a flexible fruitbowl, made of spring-steel. It is created by metal laser cutting, and involves minimal production cost. Created such that it wastes minimum material, and takes full advantage of the laser-cutting process, it is intended to be both functional and beautiful.
The bowl allows you to assemble it in two different ways, each in under two minutes. It collapses flat, making it easy to clean, store and transport. Furthermore, being made of steel, it is highly durable, and food-grade.
Flexibowl was created after much exploration, in different media.
Multiple bowls can be cut from a single sheet of steel, and each takes under one minute to cut on the machine.
The first method of assembly is more suitable for storing large fruit, and large quantities of fruit.
The second method takes full advantage of the reflective nature of the polished steel, and serves better for a display piece.
