Our medical illustrators were asked by a physician to revamp his patient education materials. His current materials were thorough and detailed (perfect for take-home reading) but he needed a more "at-a-glance" format to use during office visits to help patients quickly understand their condition and how it's treated. 

Our objectives were to use a 3-part layout (normal/condition/treatment) with 2 viewpoints (lateral and axial) and a simple visual style for patients.  Each piece is printed in pads so that the physician can draw directly on the images to make individual notes for the patient to take home after the visit.
