Edmonds Cook book exhibition in Te Papa is a event space which looks at the impact of edmonds cook book has had on new zealand culture.The artifacts Include the first edition edmonds cook book 1908, ingredients used in 1908 to create these recipes and the cooking utensils on 1908. A table is provided in the space with a projected large image of a recipe fromt he original book.The exhibitions purpose is to gather people around this table from specific groups and as a group cook the recipe given.A timetable is given inviting such groups as father/son, Middle-aged Women, Father/Daughter, teenage females,School aged children, Husband/wife, and retired citizens.These groups are used to reflect upon our new zealand past and bring attention to the ways in which cooking has evolved -from the women in the kitchen cooking family meals to becoming a leisure event for anyone to take part. This concept is emphasized with a projection of traditional 1908 women on the opposed wall to the table, which is placed to replace the occupants shadow. The mixture created by groups is baked in another location, once cooked the baking becomes a artifact for people to gather and attract to exhibition.
